Sony Interactive Entertainment has released a new trailer for The Last Guardian. The new cinematic trailer doesn’t reveal anything new that we don’t already know, but it’s nice to see that we are approaching the most current release date for the adventure puzzle game. The Last Guardian is set to debut on December 6th in North America and Japan, December 7th in Europe, and December 9th in the UK.

Now that you’re done watching the trailer let’s take a look at some of what Sid Shuman’s questions were for Creative Director Fumito Ueda regarding the Last Guardian. One part, as listed below, covers the creation of Trico and how its design came to be.
“Trico is a hybrid of sorts, a mixture of a cat, a dog, a bird, and the like. It might represent a motif. When I was younger, I grew up in a home that had a bunch of animals. My experiences with them are great memories that I still have. In creating Trico, I didn’t really have to do any specific research because it’s a creature that obviously doesn’t exist. But it’s really all based on my childhood memories, the way I interacted with the animals, the way they reacted to me.”
