GTFO, Horror Co-op FPS залучає The Last Of Us Writer, щоб конкретизувати персонажів, історію

Hey do you remember that game GTFO from 10 Chambers Collective? Yeah, the upcoming first-person shooter that’s a co-op horror experience? Well, a new behind-the-scenes developer documentary was released to give gamers a look at what the team is working on, what sort of progress has been made since it was unveiled at E3 last year, and how they brought in former staff from Naughty Dog to help with the characterization of the four playable scavengers and their role in the story.

In the press release it explains that Adam Gascoine, a writer on Останній з нас and the 2016 iteration of DOOM was contracted to work on the story for GTFO.

According to Simon Viklund from 10 Chambers Collective, the game is sculpted around desperate moments of survival, and horror-themed concepts of cooperative play, mentioning in the doc…

“You’re almost always running out of ammunition. You’re almost always running out of health. If you want to survive you have to use all your tools and instincts to detect a combat situation before it happens, prepare for it, and control the action.”

You can check out the dev doc below to see the new gameplay footage and how the story is coming along.

As mentioned in the video, given the limited amount of resources, the gameplay pace is a lot slower than other co-op shooter. They wanted the co-op to actually be centered around co-op as opposed to a single-player game where you’re just playing with three other players.

You’ll have to utilize team-tactics to overcome the enemy hordes and come out alive.

The core of the game is about playing as four reluctant scavengers forced into the complex in order to retrieve certain information or items for a mysterious character named The Warden.

GTFO нагадує мені багато Річ в поєднанні з Left 4 Dead і натяк на Метро: 2033.

It looks like it’s shaping up to be an interesting game. Something more methodical, slow-paced ,and horror-themed would be a breath of fresh air from all the fast-paced shooters currently available on the market that are “me too” clones.

We’ll find out exactly how well all of these different elements come together when GTFO launches this spring. You can keep track of the development and updates by visiting the Паровий магазин сторінка.
